2008 Marching band competition

Alright, it's time to upload some interesting pictures from marching band competition as I promised before. CHWS was crowned champion and I really think they deserved the title. They have very solid and stable sound (they used same brand of instrument, according to someone, will produce solid sound) and tempo throughout the performance. Although for me they over-blasted sometimes but still they did an excellence job! Well, the other things that all people into marching know, Tang's style, you can expect what would they do next step, where would they go, you can sing along when they were playing a song. Year by year, they are still using the same-old-methods. I think it's time to change in order to keep your champion honor, perhaps not? Who knows? We live in MALAYSIA "BOLEH" land! Again, Tang's dynasty remain unbeatable!

1st runner up was MGS from Pahang, so called black horse, amazed me! They improved a lot since I last saw them 1 or 2 years back, nor matter sound or formation. 2nd runner up was taken by Victoria Institution Cadet Corps Band. Sad for them, they used to be Malaysian champion, and they are pioneer of colorguard in Malaysia. Indeed, I thought they would as least get 2nd placing?

NH didn't make into top 3 this year, but they did a pretty good job, and it's more important to see them improve from day to day. Kudos! As other said, NH routine is clean and tidy, but without the 'wow' effects, and started to get boring when u look at a plain routine for some time.

As for KLWMB, the most entertaining team would be "Bicycle show band" from Holland. You don't ask me how they did it, they just did! They can play music while cycling. I was speechless....and whoever know what is baritone saxophone, mellophone, you will know how heavy the instruments are, and yet they can carry, playing music and cycling! It's totally insane!!

And here go picture of Indonesia band. Big team with their colorful uniform. Weird color combination I would say.
